White Wizard Drumsticks

Craving a smoky, flavorful kick for your chicken? These tender drumsticks marinated in a zesty white BBQ sauce and seasoned with Philosopher’s Potion by AlcheMeats are a game-changer. Whether you’re grilling, smoking, or using the air fryer, this easy recipe delivers mouthwatering results every time. Perfect for your next cookout or weeknight dinner!

Chosen Cooking Method: Traeger Smoker (see below for alternative cooking methods)

Prep Time: 30 minutes - 8 hours (optional overnight marination)

Cook Time: 1 hour

Total Time: 1 hour, 30 minutes

Servings: 6

Ingredients:

· 12 uncooked chicken drumsticks

· 1/2 cup of white BBQ sauce (we love Lillie's Q Ivory BBQ Sauce)

· Approx. 3 tablespoons Philosopher’s Potion seasoning by AlcheMeats

· 1 gallon-size bag

Directions:

1.) Dry off the drumsticks with a paper towel

2.) In the gallon-size bag, combine half of the white BBQ sauce and 1 tablespoon of Philosopher’s Potion seasoning by AlcheMeats.

3.) Place all drumsticks into bag.

4.) Pour remaining white BBQ sauce and 1 additional tablespoon of Philosopher’s Potion seasoning by AlcheMeats into gallon bag.

5.) Seal the bag and massage the drumsticks together until the chicken is fully covered with the marinade.

6.) Marinate in refrigerator for at least 30 minutes (longer is better; overnight is best)

7.) Remove from refrigerator and re-season both sides of the drumsticks with Philosopher’s Potion seasoning by AlcheMeats (throw away leftover marinade)

8.) Place drumsticks on the grill of cold smoker (do not pre-heat smoker)

9.) Close lid and turn on to 400 degrees.

10.) Cook for approximately 1 hour, or internal temperature reaches 165 degrees

Pro Tip: You do not need to flip over food when using a smoker. However, you can flip halfway through for better presentation of grill marks on both sides of your meat.

11.) Remove from smoker, serve and enjoy!

Alternative Cooking Methods:

Oven

· Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

· Place drumsticks on cookie sheet, approx. one inch apart

· Cook for 40 minutes, flipping the drumsticks halfway through

Air Fryer

· When ready to cook, place drumsticks in air fryer

· Cook at 400 degrees for 18 minutes, flipping the drumsticks halfway through

Pro Tip: Drumsticks should not touch each other or the sides of the air fryer. May need to do multiple batches depending on the air fryer size
